Well, things have been busy this month - I headed to Arizona for a conference for work. While I was there, I got to have dinner with my uncle Brian and Aunt Debbie - it was sooo great to see them! At this conference, they always come up with some event for us to all attend as a social activity - so we ventured to the "Desert Botanical Gardens." They had some fascinating things to see - all kinds of different cactus' and these beautiful glass objects made by Chihuly.
While we were on a tour, I was able to catch this bird in action as he flew from his "home" inside the Saguro cactus. 
This was one of my favorite Chihuly displays.
So unique! They really look like cactus.
And of course you can't go into the desert without seeing snakes! These King Snakes were "hanging out" right off the side of the path!

An update on Jeff - He is finally back to normal after the surgery (minus a few scars) and quickly working on things he couldn't do while he was under his 10 pound lifting restriction.

Earlier this month, my mom and I went to Lauren (Roberts) Lukefahr's baby shower. She looks great and got all kinds of cute things for her future son - William Philip Lukefahr. Aren't those burp cloths that my mom's friend Debbie made great?! I wasn't able to get a picture of her with the ones I made...
Then on the 16th, my brother graduated from A&M! WHOOP! My cousin Kristen also graduated (on the 15th) but I wasn't able to make it in time for her ceremony because I helped host Newfield's employee golf tournament. I can't believe they are both out - it makes me feel really old!

Last weekend, a couple of Jeff's buddies came in from out of town. They all (minus Brad) gathered at our house for a couple of drinks on Friday night - here is the gang...
