Well.....the time finally came for the stang to head off to Dallas for its new beginning. Lindsay and I both took off work on Friday to trailer the car to Aunt Sheila's shop in Dallas. When we arrived on Friday we met the painter at her shop and he took a look at the car for the first time. After that, we followed him back to his shop (Underground Customz) to pick out the color for the mustang. I knew that I wanted the car red, but I had no idea how many shades of red there could be. After 45 minutes or so, it was done. We chose a color from the Nissan pallet; it is the same red you can see on the 2009 Nissan 350Z.
After we left underground customz, we headed back to Sheila's shop to select the interior we would go with. Even though we are not completely decided on everything on the inside of the car, we have decided on black seats with red stitching (to match the outside).
On Saturday, I spent the day at the shop with Keith ripping out the interior of the mustang.
Before...........
After....
Now that the interior is completely out, the car is headed to Underground to begin the painting process. The car should be done at some point before Thanksgiving. I will keep the blog updated with any changes. Stay tuned............
