The 4th of July!

So, Jeff and I spent most of our 4th of July weekend at the lake house helping clean and set things up. But, one of my best friends, Jessica and her boyfriend Tim, came in from Dallas to visit for the weekend. After we put them to work helping us move some furniture at the lake house, we enjoyed dinner at one of our neighbors house and slipped into the jacuzzi. So relaxing! Then on the 4th, we took the jet skis out on the water and had a great time - even if the waves were a bit big... After some fun in the sun, we headed back to Humble to chill. Jeff's friend Jason joined us at my parents and we had a great time relaxing in the pool and grilling lots of delicious food!

After a few adult beverages, the "red-neck" slip and slide was created! Jessica had this brilliant idea to take all the pool floats and cover them with a tarp. Well, we couldn't find a tarp, but we found this really big piece of bubble wrap - I thought it would be even better b/c it would add some padding. Sure enough, it did the trick! Here is Jeff finally taking his turn on the "slip and bleed" - actually there were no accidents to report! lol Great idea girl! After our day of water fun, we took it to the house to sit back and watch the fireworks! They were amazing and going up all around us. The wind was blowing and the evening could not have been more pleasant.

Now, what to do once the fireworks stop... play rock band of course! Here they are jammin' out - Jeff on the drums, Fletch on the mic, and Tim on guitar! So glad you guys came to visit!

And let's not forget Moo - even though she hated the fireworks, we were able to capture her "head tilt" - otherwise known as her "what the heck is that interesting noise, object, or toy that I need to have"!
