Christmas 2010

We have had a week long Christmas celebration! First with Jeff's family and then with mine. With Jeff's family, we made his parents "Noodles" with a little twist. His mom couldn't find the noodles they normally use, so I decided we should make my Great Grandmother Mollie's egg noodles. The girls (Brett and Brooke) were great little helpers.
Dinner was great ~ had to be all of the great help we had in the kitchen!
Cooking!
We had fun making all kinds of things ~ aren't our cookies cute?!?
I didn't catch many of the pictures of the kids opening their presents, but I made sure to catch Uncle Jeff with the boys. He got them both ammo boxes with surprises in each.
Jack just turned 10, so he got a special gift ~ a Buck Knife. Of course there were a few rules that came with that gift, but I think it was something pretty special for a newly 10 year old boy! Ben still has 2 years to go, but I bet he will get some special gift when he is 10!
Maya enjoyed all the guests, but she was all worn out! My spoiled girl cuddled with her daddy!
For Christmas Eve, we headed to Ryan and Emilie's house to have dinner with my family. Redheads!Aunt Theresa and I had matching necklaces ~
Then we headed to the lake house on Christmas morning. We were greeted by the new guard of Chalk Bluff ~ my mom just had to have this Indian. We are still working a name for him, but for now we will call him Chief Wellfed, from the Cornbread Tribe (from my dad's name from Halloween costume). He is actually now standing on the big rock next to him... pretty cool!
I bought Bakerella's "Cake Pops" book for Christmas since I bought one for my sister-in-law Jennifer for Christmas. So, Emilie and I had our work cut out for us trying to create some of her amazing looking treats.
Making stars for our Christmas trees!Working on some cake balls...
Mom and Aunt Sheila with our FIRST pops ~ aren't those trees so neat?! Yes, I thought you might think so! We were so proud!
Here is a close up of a tree next to the cute snowman!
We tried to make all kinds of Christmas treats ~ trees, Santa hats, stars, Snowmen, and festive cakeballs.
An overall success for our first try! Do you agree???
Where the boys spend most of their time playing ping-pong or pool!
Gail and Emilie just relaxing ~ A great, relaxing Christmas! Hope you had a great one with your family and friends!
